Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies AiZag uses, and how to manage them.

This is a plain-language draft provided for transparency. It is not legal advice — please have it reviewed by a UAE-qualified lawyer before you rely on it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used. AiZag also uses your browser’s local storage to remember a few preferences. This policy explains what we use and how to control it. For the bigger picture, see our Privacy Policy.

Strictly necessary — always on

These are required for AiZag to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you for advertising.

  • Sign-in session— a secure cookie that keeps you logged in and protects your account (it is “http-only,” so it cannot be read by scripts).
  • Preferences (browser local storage) — remembers your light/dark theme, accent colour, display currency (AED/USD) and your cookie choice. This stays in your browser and is not sent to us as a tracking cookie.

Analytics — only with your consent

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use AiZag (for example, which pages are popular) so we can improve it. This sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>. These analytics cookies are off by defaultand only load after you choose “Accept.” If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

Managing your choice

When you first visit AiZag you will see a banner where you can accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser (which resets the banner) or by using your browser’s settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as signing in, from working.

Changes

We may update this policy as the tools we use change. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Questions? Email admin@aizag.ae.
